Is the kitchen island planner free? Do I need an account?
3D design and cost estimation are free, and you can start without an account. Save a design in this browser or download a design file. To open a design on another device, sign in and save it to the cloud.
Can I change the countertop overhang and cabinet dimensions separately?
Yes. Choose Countertop or Cabinets in Size to adjust their dimensions independently. You can enter measurements or use sliders within the allowed range rather than choosing from a fixed set of sizes. Storage lets you divide the width of individual sections.
How does the kitchen island cost calculator work?
The calculator applies rates to your selected dimensions, materials and storage configuration to estimate cabinet, countertop, labor and delivery costs. It starts with sample rates; replace them with your own rates and currency in Pricing settings. Get a final fabrication and installation quote from a retailer or contractor after an on-site measurement.
Can I order from IKEA or Home Depot or get an official quote here?
Island Maker does not process orders or issue official retailer quotes. The optional product workspace lets you choose a country and product combination and compare prices you enter. Check availability, current pricing and compatibility with the retailer. Island Maker is not an official IKEA or Home Depot service.
Are chairs included in the estimated cost?
Chairs are a visual option and are excluded from the estimate. Change their count and arrangement to see how seating looks around the countertop overhang. Confirm actual knee clearance, aisle space and countertop support separately using on-site measurements.
Does it work on mobile? Which languages are supported?
Use the planner in a desktop or mobile browser without installing an app. The 3D view requires a WebGL-capable device. Korean and English are currently supported, and changing the language preserves your design. Choose your currency and rates separately in Pricing settings.
